My name is Kayuri Bhimani, and I am a junior at Dartmouth College. Over the span of this website, I will attempt to address my thoughts surrounding development in Nicaragua and shed light upon various issues from the Miskito natives of the Atlantic autonomous region to the economic impacts of mining.
Dartmouth College takes a program known as the CCESP to Siuna, Nicaragua every winter. There are two teams upon this trip–the Community Health team and the Community Development team. While I am not going on the CCESP this winter, I hope to go in the future and be able to apply all that I have learned through the creation of this website.
