Dartmouth College Library Annual Undergraduate Student Open House

Dartmouth College Library Open House

The Biomedical Libraries participated once again in this year’s First-Year Open House. Our table at this event featured books on various topics relevant to students such as Celiac Disease, Stress, and Sleep. Librarians Tom Mead, Robin Paradise Montibello, and Heather Blunt were available to answer questions. The event was very well attended with approximately 570 student participants. The entire Baker Berry library was buzzing with activity. At the library entrance, students populated a world map with pins, showing the diversity of incoming students’ home towns. In addition to a couple dozen informational tables like ours, the students were able to tour various nooks and crannies of Baker Berry Library, climb up to the top of the Baker Bell Tower, and participate in hands on activities in the Preservation Department’s bookbinding and letterpress studios. There was plenty of food and entertainment. The energy was terrific, and a fun time was had by staff and students!
