Achieve Your New Year’s Writing Resolutions

Writer's Retreat PromoRegister for a two-day retreat for researchers in the process of manuscript preparation. The retreat will provide access to writing support, research assistance, and a quiet space to focus on writing. Researchers will have extensive time for individual writing, and will have access to one-on-one support from research librarians and a writing specialist.

In addition, participants will receive:

  • Individual and group feedback on in-process manuscripts
  • Advice on increasing likelihood of publication acceptance
  • Strategies related to manuscript preparation

Writing consultation will be provided by Christopher Dant, Ph.D., faculty at the Norris Cotton Center and SYNERGY, who has over 35 years of experience as a professional medical writer, editor, and author. He currently works with investigators to develop manuscript-writing skills.

Library consultation will be provided by Pamela Bagley, Ph.D., MLIS, Heather Blunt, MLIS, and Heather Johnson, MLIS who have expertise in literature searching, informing about increasing research impact and managing references.

Who Should Attend: Anyone in the process of preparing a manuscript for a biomedical journal.
