This site is the class project of History 4.1: “The Crusades.” Students in small groups will be mounting pages to explore individual aspects of two overarching themes. The first is the history and effects of the First Crusade. And the second is the memory and uses of crusade in contemporary discourse, culture, and political life. Our aim is one of public history: to research, understand, and then convey to the interested non-specialist some of the complex aspects of the history and legacy of the Crusades.
To access the posts on the Causes and Consequences of the First Crusade, simply consult the drop down menu above. The entries are amazing!
