Introduction

19773_565952550059_2503916_nJose Vasquez was born on December 31, 1982 and illegally, and against his will, migrated to the United States in 1998 under his father’s decision. At the age of 16, not knowing English, being set back to take classes as a freshman, and overcoming the hardship of leaving his home country, he began to become educated in hopes of obtaining a proper future job. With the help of his high school counselor, along with his motivation to become better, he was able to go to community college, transferring to University of Missouri, and continuing his education in grad school. De dreams of being able to help others succeed, just as he was helped when he first came to the US. He now works as an Associate Director for the Collis Center at Dartmouth College.
