Research Operations

Research Operations and the Dartmouth Clinical Trials Office facilitate the conduct of high-quality clinical trials at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center by providing a centralized infrastructure to enhance patient safety, promote quality research, ensure fiscal and regulatory compliance, and encourage clinical translation collaborations.

The following members of Research Operations will be on site to answer your questions.

Carrie Freitag, Director of DH Grants & Contracts: The Grants and Contracts Office at D-H provides management and research administration support to the research community through all phases of the grant and contract life cycle: Proposal development, review, and submission, Award review, negotiation, and acceptance, Post-award grant and contract management.

Barbara Moskalenko, Director Clinical Trials Office, CTO:  The mission of the Dartmouth Clinical Trials Office is to enhance the research capabilities of D-H by providing a centralized infrastructure to enhance patient safety, promote quality research, ensure fiscal and regulatory compliance, and encourage clinical translation collaborations.

Deb Rodgers, Operations Manager, Clinical Research Unit, CRU:  Provides dedicated space and staff for the efficient conduct of clinical research across the life cycle of a project. Research nurses and coordinators assist with study preparation, regulatory and IRB submissions, study procedures and sample processing according to protocol requirements.

Mike Sainz, Administrative Director, Office of Clinical Research, OCR:  The mission of the Office of Clinical Research is to assist with the planning, conduct, and compliance of clinical trials involving cancer treatment medications and devices. Studies include investigator-initiated, cooperative group, working group, and industry-supported clinical trials. Services include regulatory work, clinical research coordination, and research nursing.
