grad_studies_sign_thumbnailThe Graduate Studies Office has a new home starting this fall. In celebration of the renovated suite at 37 Dewey Field Road, the Dean of Graduate Studies F. Jon Kull invites the Dartmouth community to an Open House on October 24, between 2 and 5 pm.

Graduate Studies, which had outgrown its space in Wentworth Hall, now has a more spacious suite with a private conference room. Other innovations include a multimedia display and ergonomic furniture in the waiting area and staff offices.

Graduate students who have visited the new office have been impressed with the welcoming atmosphere of the carefully designed modern space. Andrew Wong, a graduate student in engineering, noted, “The new Graduate Studies Office looked sharp, clean and very inviting.”

The extra room and more convenient layout will also facilitate staff in providing student services. “In addition to the much needed conference room, our new location has an elevator that allows for easy student access and deliveries to the Graduate Office,” explains the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies Gary Hutchins.

“We are thankful to the dean of the faculty for renovating the space so nicely for us,” says Dean Kull. “We are very excited to be located in the North Campus now near many graduate student departments and the Dana Biomedical Library.”

Be sure to stop by room 437 at 37 Dewey Field Road on October 24 to say “hello” to the staff and have some refreshments while enjoying the new office!
