Graduate Forum Welcomes New Digital Content Editor
Hailing from the United Kingdom where she graduated from the University of St Andrews, Skinner lived in Tokyo, Japan for 8 years prior to relocating to the United States. Upon learning how to drive, she and her husband travelled from the East Coast, following a route around the South of the country to Los Angeles, where they lived in Venice Beach for 7 years.
Skinner has had connections to Dartmouth throughout her life, and is looking forward to meeting the graduate community and learning more about it. During her time in Los Angeles, she worked closely with a Dartmouth alumnus, creating and editing print and online copy and materials that were distributed worldwide with the goal of bringing people together under the umbrella of good character.
“I strongly believe in the power of community and information exchange, and it is my goal to inspire broader contributions to the Graduate Forum,” she told us. Skinner is passionate about community involvement and believes the Graduate Forum is a great hub for connecting students past, present, and future.
Skinner is delighted to be part of the graduate studies program and is very much looking forward to meeting members of this community and connecting with them through the Forum and in person. She will be attending several events in the coming weeks, and will be on hand at the Graduate Student Council meeting in September.
She welcomes all suggestions for articles, and is looking to expand the readership of the Forum. If you would like to share your ideas, or just pop by for a coffee to learn more about the submission process, she will be delighted to hear from you.
You can reach her via email or stop by when you are in the Graduate Studies Office.
