The Green Key Society was founded in 1921 “with service to Dartmouth as its function and purpose” and to provide a leadership role for the junior class. While the role of the GKS has changed and grown, this tenet still holds true today. The Green Key Society conducts and participates in such important events as First-Year Orientation, Convocation, Homecoming Sweep and Bonfire, Winter Carnival, Green Key Weekend, and Commencement. In addition, the Green Key Society plans events throughout the year to foster Dartmouth spirit and unit different facets of the Dartmouth community. Membership in Green Key Society provides students the opportunity to work with an amazingly motivated and diverse group of people while helping provide service to the Dartmouth community.
