The GSC will hold an Olympics-themed event called the ‘Gold Medal Affair’ on Friday, August 12th in the Dartmouth Outing Club House from 6 pm to 10 pm. Join us for yard games outside, music inside, and food catered by Stinson's!

Join Dartmouth Graduate Veterans in raising toys for The Marine Corps Toys For Tots organization. Light refreshments and snacks will be served with an available cash bar. Please bring only new, unused, and unwrapped gifts.  This event is open to all Dartmouth graduate and undergraduate students, Dartmouth faculty/staff, the Dartmouth community and veterans.

Shanti, Dartmouth Hindu Student Organization, invites you to the annual celebration of Diwali on our campus on Saturday, November 14th. The celebration is in four events. There will be a prayer service, lighting lamps on the Green, cultural performances by Dartmouth students and Community members, and an Indian Vegetarian dinner.

Diwali, also called the festival of lights, is a Hindu festival that has gained popularity across the globe. According to Hindu legend, Diwali honors the stories of two avatars of the Hindu God Vishnu. It marks the triumph of good over evil (dharma over adharma) and is celebrated by lighting lamps on a New Moon day. Spiritually, the lighting of a lamp reminds us to kindle our own lamp of knowledge to dispel the darkness of ignorance.

The event is free and open to all members of the Dartmouth and the Upper Valley community.  No RSVP is needed, but seating is limited, so come early!

It is time to process the remaining materials from this years bountiful honey harvest, so we will be hosting an event this weekend to bottle the remaining honey from the organic farm and to make beeswax candles from the wax we harvested. So come by and learn how to make candles and help put honey in jars.

Join the International Graduate Mentor Program (IGMP) for a Wednesday evening social. We will have pizza, beverages, and many different desserts.
During the first hour of this event, Multilingual Specialist Melina Gehring invites you to an informal exchange of thoughts surrounding your experiences as international students. To kick off the discussion, Amira Hamouda (MALS ’16) and Pin-Hao (Andy) Chen (PBS  ’16) will chat about their research on the cultural adjustment of international graduate students at Dartmouth and share some of the cultural challenges they have met themselves.

You are cordially invited to the second IGMP Pre-Thanksgiving dinner!

We will be having dinner from 7 - 9pm at the DOC house on Thursday, November 20th. There will be traditional Thanksgiving food (turkey, potato salad, cranberry stuffing) along with beer and wine!
