Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.  — Mary Ritter Beard

¡Bienvenido! This coming December, I will be joining a group of Dartmouth students traveling to Nicaragua for a program called the Nicaragua CCESP (Cross-Cultural Exchange and Service Program). We will be working with an organization called Bridges to Community which brings communities in developing countries together with volunteers to work on projects, form meaningful relationships, and reflect on their experiences. To learn more about Bridges to Community and their work, follow this link to explore their site: http://www.bridgestocommunity.org

I will be part of the Community Development team in Rosa Grande, a village just outside of the Reserva Natural Bosawás, a pristine biosphere reserve in northern Nicaragua. On this site, I will be documenting my experiences, thoughts, and reflections leading up to trip. I hope you enjoy poking around my site!
