From their site: “MediaCommons is a community network for scholars, students, and practitioners in media studies, promoting exploration of new forms of publishing within the field. MediaCommons was founded with the support of the Institute for the Future of the Book, and with assistance from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Through this network, we hope to refocus scholarship in the field on the communication and discussion of new ideas in the field.”
MediaCommons is an editor-driven network that manage a number of different projects concerned with publication in Media Studies at various lengths, including the short-form In Media Res and the full-length MediaCommons Press.
We are proud to be working with co-Editor and Press Director Kathleen Fitzpatrick, also the Director of Scholarly Communication at the Modern Language Association.
