If you are interested in the Dartmouth Medical Physics Education Program, you must complete the Dartmouth Engineering PhD application process following these additional instructions: on your application, choose Biomedical Engineering as your research area interest, and then choose Medical Physics as your concentration of interest.

Applications are due on December 15 each year for on-cycle admissions, but off-cycle admissions are possible for highly qualified candidates.

Admission to this Medical Physics Education Program requires a substantial background in physics at the undergraduate level, of a Major or Minor in Physics (minimum of 4 courses beyond introductory college physics).

Dartmouth students currently enrolled in a PhD program in Engineering Sciences or any of the physical science PhD programs are invited to apply as an internal Dartmouth applicant. Interested students should contact one of the program directors:
