The Thayer School Machine Shop is open to all Dartmouth students, faculty and researchers. We can help you create prototypes and parts for your academic projects or research, as well as provide a safe, efficient environment for your machining needs.
Academic Projects and Research
Our facilities are open for your project and research needs. We offer welding and fabrication, CNC machining, polymer processing, design tools and rapid prototyping services, as well any materials and expertise you may require. TAs are always available to give advice and guidance.

Coursework
The machine shop hosts students from a variety of Dartmouth courses. We provide a workspace that is conducive to safe learning and offer TA guidance to machine shop users.
