About

For the past fifteen years, the Dartmouth Center for Service (formally a part of the William Jewett Tucker Foundation at Dartmouth) has administered the Cross-Cultural Education and Service Program (CCESP) and this experiential learning program involves a course, LACS 20, which the students take in the fall term at Dartmouth, and a subsequent two-week service trip that takes place in the northeast autonomous region of Nicaragua, the RAAN, where undergraduate students, faculty, staff, Geisel School of Medicine medical students, and medical professionals volunteer in a variety of communities and capacities in the municipality of Siuna.

Siuna is located in the RAAN (Región Autónoma del Atlático del Norte). This is the region located on the northeast side of the country on the Caribbean Coast.
