Upper Valley Planners’ Lunch

Since last summer, Upper Valley planners have been getting together every few months to share lunch and talk about planning in the region. On March 18th, the Norwich town planner, hosted the group at Tracy Hall where we talked about access management; “permanent” open space in PRDs & cluster development; and the recent Lebanon zoning vote. We also went around the room and did the “NY Minute.” Each planner spoke briefly about what’s keeping him/her busy – the range of issues included: driving around town updating E-911 data, working on warrant language for Town Meeting, bike/ped planning, updating site plan regs., GIS programming, zoning update, draft town plan and of course, lots of night meetings.

The Lebanon planner offered to host our next gathering in May or June when we agreed to extend an invitation to “other” professional planners (consultants) living in the Upper Valley. We missed our colleagues from Woodstock & southern Windsor regional planning.

P.S. Thanks Phil for the chili & Matt for the baguette (et beurre). Thanks also to Chuck for the smile. I really enjoyed the video clip of our host skiing at a local hill with the accompanying theme music from the movie “Jaws.”
