About

The Science Technology and Engineering Policy Society (STEPS) is a student-led organization bringing together graduate and undergraduate students, along with postdoctoral researchers, across disciplines and schools at Dartmouth with a shared interest in science and technology (S&T) policy. STEPS is hosted and supported at Dartmouth by the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding and is formally recognized by the Dartmouth Graduate Student Council (GSC).

The goals of STEPS at Dartmouth are to:

  • Promote dialogue around science & technology policy and related topics,
  • Provide resources and promote career development in science & technology policy,
  • Educate early-career researchers about the many ways to engage with policy.

Events include regular lunch discussions, mixers, alumni networking, conferences, outreach events, and a wide range of presentations and lectures.

Please contact us directly if you are interested in getting involved - we always welcome new members and leaders!
