Welcome to the Heatherton Laboratory at Dartmouth College.
The Heatherton Lab is located in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences (221 Moore Hall). Our lab applies both behavioral and brain imaging techniques to explore a range of cognitive and social neuroscience topics such as memory, emotion, reward, and the self.
The primary neuroimaging technique used in the lab is functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Imaging studies are conducted on a research-dedicated Siemens 3.0 Tesla scanner, located in the basement of Moore Hall. The imaging facility is maintained and operated by the Dartmouth Brain Imaging Center (DBIC).
The Principal Investigator for the laboratory is Dr. Todd Heatherton, the Lincoln Filene Professor in Human Relations and Director of the Center for Social Brain Sciences, in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.
