RESEARCH

PART I KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

With a solid background in both Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, I have been well trained in design, modeling, and finite element analysis; and fabrication of microdevices.

DESIGN, MODELING & FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

Mask Design with L-Edit or AutoCAD

3D Modeling with SOLIDWORKS

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with ANSYS Fluent or COMSOL MultiPhysics

FABRICATION OF POLYMER-BASED MICRODEVICES

Photolithography, Soft lithography, Lift-off, Thermal Deposition, Sputtering, etc.

PART II RESEARCH PROJECTS

Through my Ph.D. study, I have led several different interdisciplinary projects collaborating with a Research Team from Standford University and Scientists from Agilent Technologies, managed a team of 4~6 graduate/undergraduate researchers, and delivered a number of publishable work or research products, from concept to execution.

ULTRA-FAST SYNTHESIS OF FUNCTIONAL NANOMATERIALS IN MICROFLUIDIC REACTORS

LABEL-FREE SERS-BASED DETECTION OF DNA MOLECULES AT NANOMOLAR

ENGINEERING FUNCTIONAL NANOPARTICLES FOR CELL IMAGING AND DRUG DELIVERY

MICROFLUIDICS-BASED IN-VITRO SCREENING OF CARDIAC TOXICITY (HEART ON A CHIP)
