Help Build NH’s Only Health Care Plan for Survivors of Human Trafficking

An interested NH AHEC Health Equity Scholar has a unique opportunity to collaborate with the Dartmouth Health Task Force on Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. A subcommittee of the Taskforce will be meeting to develop the only health care plan in NH that addresses the specialized care needs for these survivors of trauma. The subcommittee, which includes providers and administrative staff of DH, will identify the patients’ steps through the care system, including roles of each provider. They have invited the participation of one AHEC Health Equity Scholar.  The time commitment will be variable—with a handful of virtual meetings and likely some “homework.”  The first meeting is Friday 10/14, from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Please contact Kate at Katherine.j.semple.barta@dartmouth.edu to be considered for the spot.
