2. Care Considerations for Immigrant Detainees

The inequities in health care for immigrants in ICE detention and ways in which health care providers might be of assistance to this marginalized population.

Presenters:
Katherine Peeler is a pediatric critical care physician at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston MA, where she is also on the faculty of Harvard Medical School Department of Global Health and Social Medicine and is medical director of Harvard Medical School’s Asylum Clinic.

Meg Moran is the staff Attorney for the Removal Defense Project. She has presented to the Cambridge Health Alliance on the role of forensic medical and mental health experts in asylum and other immigration cases for medical and mental health experts.
