What does it take to become a NH AHEC Health Equity Scholar?
It takes a desire to make a difference . . . and a drive to expand one’s knowledge beyond the required academic curricula. The NH AHEC HE Scholar:
- wants to understand first-hand the factors that lead to disparities in access to health care in our country;
- is committed to becoming a provider who is better equipped to understand the circumstances, needs, and hopes of the patients she or he may serve in the future; and
- has a passion for providing compassionate care and becoming an effective advocate for necessary change in our health care delivery system.
