Club badminton is open to everyone regardless of prior experience! We have two subgroups of teams: competitive team and casual open play. We have three 2-hour sessions each week at Alumni gym basketball court.
*** 22F tryouts (for competitive team) will be held Tuesday, September 20 from 7:30PM-9:30PM. We have space for 4 men and 4 women; there will be no open play today due to tryouts ***
22F schedule:
Thursdays 7:30PM-9:30 PM, Saturdays 5:00-6:45 PM — Open to All
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30 PM-9:30 PM — Competitive Team Training
No prior experience is required for training team members, but they are expected to attend 2 practices per week, and compete with the team at tournaments. We go to 1 tournament a term: the Northern Regional Conference in fall, University of Vermont Invitational in winter, and the Eastern Regional Conference in spring.
If you don't have equipment, no worries! Just wear non-marking shoes and a mask, we have rackets, birds, and nets. Frequent players will be expected to pay a small termly fee to help us continue offering this equipment.
