Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills, task automation and principles of reproducible research. This 2-day hands-on workshop will focus on Python and cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research/problems/projects.

The course is aimed at graduate students, post-docs, and other researchers, but all are welcome. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop.
