Biotech Industry Panel 9/20

As part of the Career Mapping Workshop, Dartmouth Biotech Club has organized panels for the students, so that they can hear from great panelists working in Biotech Industry, on a curated set of questions that the students are interested in hearing about. This will serve as a nice first step to learn about people who have actually walked the path the students are interested in potentially walking themselves.

The first panel will be held on Monday, September 20 at 7-8PM.

You can read more about the panelists here.

Hope to see most of you at the panel!

Career Mapping Workshop

Dartmouth Biotech Club (DBC) has put together this Career Mapping Workshop as part of the career resource management tool. Our goal is to provide graduate students with a tool that they can use to explore career paths and access a network of industry professionals who can aid them in their exploration.

This tool is currently being developed. We started it by surveying you, the students, about your career interests and on the questions, you want answered. These surveys gave DBC all the insights into what you want to do with your science, where and how you want to take it to develop your career.  And we at DBC are curating and creating this tool and bringing forward people that you’ve told us you want to hear from.

We will create a dashboard to make the information we collect, as well as the network we establish, available to our students, who can then reach out to professionals in this network for further guidance. We hope that you will take an active role in using this tool and provide feedback on how we can improve it as well as tell us how your interests evolve over time. We will repeat this process and update our tool as we go.

You can synthesize and customize your own career development through these offerings. It’s a path, it’s data at each stage and it’s up to you how you manage it.
