Melanie Peck, Co-President
Melanie is a third year graduate student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program. She has served at the Communications Co-Chair, Alumni Relations Officer, and now Co-President for the Dartmouth Biotech Club. Her research interests lie in cancer immunology and specifically, tumor-specific memory T-cells.
Anneka Johnson, Co-President
Anneka is a 6th year graduate student in the Cancer Biology Department of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program at Dartmouth. She has served at the Communications Co-Chair, Vice President, and now Co-President of the Dartmouth Biotech Club. Her research in the lab of Dr. Todd Miller focuses on the role of epigenetics in therapeutic response to estrogens in breast cancer.
Danielle Douglas, Professional Development Pillar Chair
Danielle is a graduate student in the Microbiology and Immunology Department of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program at Dartmouth. She is a member of the laboratory of Dr. Edward Usherwood. Her research will surround T cell metabolism in the tumor microenvironment and ways modify the metabolism of T cells to increase their efficacy against melanoma.
Arielle Sclar, Networking Co-chair
Arielle is a second year graduate student in the Integrative Neuroscience at Dartmouth Program. Her research in the labs of Dr. Alex Skorput and Dr. Pam Rosato focuses on the role of resident memory T cells in chronic pain.
Grace Crossland, Networking Co-Chair
Grace is an MD/PhD student in the Microbiology and Immunology Department. Her thesis work in Sladjana Skopelja-Gardner’s lab focuses on the role of mucosal-associated invariant T cells in the pathogenesis of lupus skin disease with attention to both spontaneous lesion development as well as photosensitive reactions.
Mina Stevanovic, Communications Officer
Mina is a PhD candidate in the Quantitative Biomedical Sciences Program at Dartmouth. Her research in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Schultz at Geisel School of Medicine focuses on the dynamics of gene expression in the context of antibiotic resistance.
Neeti Mittal, Career Development Officer
Neeti is a PhD Candidate in the MCB Program at Dartmouth and comes with a wealth of experience working in the small-mid sized Biotech companies in and around Cambridge, MA. Neeti has experience working in cancer drug discovery using different therapeutic modalities and working with internal and external collaborators, moving the lead drug candidates from in vitro proof of concept to in-vivo PoCs.
Melissa Carmichael, Events and Programming Officer
Melissa is a third-year PhD student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology program. Her research in the lab of George O’Toole aims to investigate drivers of microbial dysbiosis in the gut of patients with cystic fibrosis.
Austin Nadeau, Tuck Liaison
Austin is a 2nd year MBA candidate in the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He came to Tuck with 5 years of healthcare experience and is moving into a biotechnology investment banking position following graduation.
