Jordan is a graduate of the the Microbiology and Immunology Department of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program at Dartmouth. She served in many roles for the biotech club but most recently as the President. Her research in the lab of Dr. Pam Rosato focuses on the role of CD39 in the context of T cell immunity to brain tumors.
Natasha Kelkar
Natasha is a graduate student in Molecular and Cellular Biology Program in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth. In her research in the lab of Prof. Ackerman at Thayer School of Engineering, Natasha is trying to develop some tools and techniques to improve development of vaccines against infectious diseases.
Gregory Ho
Greg is a fourth-year graduate student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program in the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Dartmouth. In his research in the laboratory of Steve Fiering at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center focuses on investigating the mechanism and durability of the long-term memory of the lab’s in situ vaccination model.
Shawn Musial
Shawn is a fourth year PhD candidate in the Microbiology and Immunology Department of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Program at Dartmouth. His research in the laboratory of Dr. Pamela Rosato focuses on investigating functional contributions and regulatory mechanisms governing resident memory T cell reactivation in the brain.
Katherine (Katie) Aldrich
Katie is a second-year MBA student at the Tuck School of Business and is focusing on analytics and healthcare. She graduated with a B.S. in biochemical engineering and her prior work experience is in strategy and operations for life sciences companies.
Shiva Sathyanarayana, PhD
Shiva Sathyanarayana is currently working as a Clinical Research Associate – Molecular Diagnostics at Center for Clinical Genomics and Advanced Technology, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Prior, he did postdoctoral research with the mentorship of Prof. Giovanni Bosco, Dr. Bryan Luikart, and Dr. Jennifer Hong in the Department of Molecular and Systems Biology at Geisel school of medicine at Dartmouth. His postdoc research mainly focused on studying genetic interactions of PTEN and FMR1 involving neurodevelopment disorders and how the loss of PTEN accelerates the peripheral nervous system and its regeneration using AAV mediated approach in a sciatic nerve-injured mouse model. He also has five years of industry experience working as a Technical/Applications specialist and Product Manager in the bio-instrumentation field. Shiva received his MSc., and Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Mysore, India, where his research mainly focused on elucidating genetic basis of the human Y chromosome AZFc partial deletions and male infertility.
Muhammad Abubakar Khan
Abubakar is a PhD candidate in the Molecular and Cell Biology Program in the Department of Biochemistry at Dartmouth. In his research in the laboratory of Dean Madden at Geisel School of Medicine, Abubakar studies non-canonical regulation of sterols regulatory element-binding proteins in Aspergillus fumigatus.
Rex Manglicmot
Rex was a MALS student concentrating in Globalization. Rex studied Microbiology in his undergrad and is passionate about the business side of biotechnology. His thesis focused on how Dartmouth College handled diseases (i.e. Smallpox and the 1918 Spanish Influenza) in comparison to the current COVID-19 pandemic around 3 axes: isolation, quarantine, and social distancing.
Natasha Pence
Natasha was a postdoc in the Chemistry Department. She received her PhD in biochemistry in May 2020 from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. She joined Dartmouth in the fall of 2020 and her research focused on the role of a diiron hemerythrin protein in microoxic respiration in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Outside of the lab, she likes to play guitar and travel.
