Learn multimedia and reporting skills from top NYU Journalism faculty.It is an opportunity to be completely immersed in journalism, with the goal of getting your story published in the blog, The Local East Village which is a partnership with the New York Times, or, The Village Beat… It will be hands-on, working on all facets of journalism – from Twitter to audio slide-shows, video production, photography, and writing and reporting.  July 2 – August 10. 3) VANS – Public Relations Intern  (Cypress, CA)

VF Corporation is a $9 billion apparel and footwear powerhouse – Brands include Vans, The North Face, Wrangler, Nautica, Smartwool, and many other recognizable companies.  The Intern will assist the PR department with editorial coverage, product placement in film and television, developing public relations materials (news releases, media alerts, product info sheets) for both Vans products and Vans special events. The PR Intern will assist with delivery of products to celebrities, musicians and athletes.

7) YES! Magazine – Internships (WA):

Positive Futures Network (PFN), publisher of YES! Magazine, is looking for interns. YES! Magazine reframes the biggest problems of our time in terms of their solutions. Online and in print, it outlines a path forward with in-depth analysis, tools for citizen engagement, and stories about real people working for a better world. Internships are available in the editorial departments (both print and online), the education department, and in the media and outreach department.

8) Taunton Press – Art Assistant Intern (CT):

Long-term temporary assignment for a motivated intern to work a few days a week at our THREADS and SEW STYLISH magazines. The art assistant intern will report to the art director and experience the full scope of magazine/web art department work.  Candidates should be a college junior/senior with an interest in magazine publishing. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and various web applications, and an interest in sewing and fashion design a plus.

10) THE FOOD NETWORK – Volunteers Needed ASAP!!!:

The Food Network is filming an episode of Restaurant: Impossible May 4th and 5th at a local Lebanon restaurant (name and exact location TBA closer to shoot date). Putting together a volunteer crew to help with the renovations of the restaurant. Students will be working closely with Food Network’s celebrity chef Robert Irvine, HGTV’s Lynn Kegan, and Restaurant Impossible’s construction manager, Tom Bury (painting, crafting, construction, remodeling, cleaning, decorating etc. depending on skill set). Meals will be provided. Also a great way to learn about production on set. Students should be okay with being on camera and wear comfortable clothing & sneakers/boots with no logos. Shift times available:  Friday, May 4th: 1pm-8pm; Friday, May 4th: 8pm-2am; Saturday, May 5th: 10am-6pm
