Kathryn Sabadosa, Director of Quality Improvement and Innovation at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, executes the national quality improvement and innovation initiative by engaging health care professionals, parents, and individuals with CF at 135 accredited sites. She currently oversees the CF Learning Network, modeled on the Institute of Medicine’s Learning Health System framework, and the Learning and Leadership Collaborative, grounded in Dartmouth Clinical Microsystems. Since 2003 she has published quality improvement resources, led benchmarking efforts to explore best practice, developed and participated in implementation of a national survey to capture the patient and family experience of care, and co-authored clinical care practice guidelines and related manuscripts. Prior to joining the CF Foundation, Ms. Sabadosa was a member of the research faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth where she served as senior research director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Co-production of CF Care Pilot Program and a research associate for the Northern New England Cardiovascular Disease Study Group. She has also held positions as an analyst and programmer at Tufts Health Plans, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. She started her career in public health with the U.S. Peace Corps as an associate director of maternal and child health programs in the Central African Republic and Chad.  Kathy is a parent of an adult with CF.
