Peter Scalia is a native of Ottawa, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Ottawa with a bachelor and master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. He then moved to The Dartmouth Institute in 2015 and was inspired to pursue a doctorate in Health Services Research. His doctoral research focused on the development, testing, and implementation of patient decision aids in clinical practice. He received his PhD in April, 2019 and continues to conduct research to improve healthcare delivery and reduce healthcare disparities. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Coproduction Laboratory, and is a youth hockey coach in the Hanover Hockey Association.
