Craig Hodges is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western University. He also holds the position of Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Mouse Models Core, the largest repository of CF mouse models in the world. Craig’s work on mouse models extends throughout his career as a scientist. He earned his PhD in 2002 from CWR and returned there and eventually started his own lab there in 2009. The work in his lab and as Director of the core has focused on creating and improving upon mouse models of CF. These mice have been used in countless studies and their impact on the CF research community is profound. His research interests lie in using these models to better understand the role of CFTR in intestinal dysfunction and poor growth related to CF. His talk will describe intestinal and airway outcomes in CF mouse models and will be of broad interest to CF researchers at Dartmouth.
