Cops and Robbers
Written by Daniel Cespedes
Cops and robbers between friends
David’s hiding in the bushes
While his friends are turned to cops and robbers
By the Clintons and the Bushes
Victims of a crooked system
Are there no heroes, did we miss them?
If I could vote the hate and pain away
I’d vote it all away today
See two men dressed in suits on stage
My life eight times between the two
two grown up, privileged, pouty babies
Staging coups and caging babies
Elect or reelect, my vote detonates foreign blasts
250 years of crimes, damn flag should always be half mast
pick your poison, fill your bubble, put your morals to the side
Let 2020 be the year that US democracy died
