Symposia

Fall 2019 Symposium

DURA kicked off its symposium series with our inaugural 2019 Fall Symposium, where we were thrilled to host over 40 students interested in hearing about undergraduate research process from student researchers coming from 5 disciplines across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. We were fortunate to have researchers Meghan Poth '20 (Biology), Clayton Howard '21 (Classics), Max Farrens '20 (Neuroscience), Grace Sherrill '20 (Healthcare), and Revant Ranjan '21 (Economics) present on their projects and research experiences.

We look forward to hosting more of these over the coming year, as well as breaking out into smaller undergraduate research symposiums that are subject-specific.

Winter 2020 STEM Symposium

For 20W, DURA decided to host a specialized STEM symposium. Our event was another success with 37 attendees (including 4 student speakers). We had the chance to hear presentations from undergraduate researchers Chengzi Guo '22 (Biology), Hannah Bliska '20 (ENVS), Victoria Nedder '20 (Biology), and Carly Tymm '20 (Chemistry). Thank you to all of our speakers and everyone who came!
