If you are past the point of what the GrIND has to offer and would like to reach out to a professional with experience in working with college students,

SONY DSCfirst take a deep breath…pause…and then seek counseling services from The Center for Counseling & Human Development at Dick’s House. Remember that counseling services are covered by your student health plan, even as a graduate student, and should be taken advantage of well before a crisis emerges.

CHD offers 24-hour crisis counseling for enrolled students or for those who are concerned about an enrolled student.

An emergency might involve:

  • Thoughts and/or plans to hurt yourself or someone else
  • Engaging in a behavior that is life threatening
  • If you have been assaulted, physically or sexually
