2019 Dartmouth Symposium for the Life Sciences, “Biological Insights Through OMICs”
October 22 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
OMICs has transformed the study of biology and ushered in a new way of thinking about complex problems that will inform current and future scientists for decades to come. As our understanding of biology has grown more complex, new approaches and technologies have emerged to facilitate systems-level studies of this complexity. The widespread availability of genomic, transcriptomics, and proteomic methods enable the rapid development and testing of new hypotheses in basic biology and biomedicine that are difficult or impossible to appreciate on a single gene or protein basis. In this year’s Life Sciences Symposium, you’ll hear from leaders in the field about how OMICs is shining new light on problems in basic biology and human disease.
