Interviews

Selected applicants will be invited to interview virtually on our own Gathertown virtual Dartmouth Campus on January 9 and 10, 2025. After interviews, we will invite accepted applicants to campus on March 6 and 7, 2025.

Interviews last two days and include meetings with students and faculty and the chance to learn more about current research at Dartmouth. This interview weekend is a critical part of the application process.

IND will notify candidates of its post-interview decision either by email or by postal mail by January 31st.

The following on-site visit is designed to provide you with essential information and contacts that will provide you with a successful transition to graduate school at Dartmouth and to life in the beautiful Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. IND can accommodate reasonable requests for alternate visit dates. IND covers domestic airfare, ground transportation, parking, accommodations at Dartmouth, and meals on Friday and Saturday. Regrettably, IND does not have the resources to pay for international travel to Dartmouth. If an international student is already visiting the U.S. we may be able to help with the additional cost incurred by traveling to Hanover.

Diversity and Inclusion

IND is committed to building and maintaining a diverse, nurturing, and inclusive scientific community that broadens participation and promotes equity and a sense of belonging in science and at Dartmouth. Enrolling and graduating a diverse student body is central to the IND’s mission. Please write a statement that identifies the distinctive qualities, characteristics, and life experiences you would contribute to our community at Dartmouth and to the education of fellow students. You may wish to include examples that address your contribution and commitment to the social, intellectual, and cultural diversity of the student body and your ability to engage with efforts to build a diverse and inclusive community. Such examples could include overcoming personal obstacles to achievement and/or helping others gain access to the resources necessary for success.
