Thank God You Took A Picture of Baker Tower in the Snow

I genuinely would not have known that it snowed or, jeez, even realized what the library looks like, without you and your consistent documentation. We don’t have many things we can count on any more–not the coasts, polar bears, or ice–but we do have you and your admirable dedication to letting everyone know that it snowed.

What a nice addition to your collection of Dartmouth foliage pictures. This is the reminder I needed to put my phone down, and really live in the moment—the moment you documented on your phone, of course. What a lifesaver.

And those captions! Always so clever, like the time of day that you took the picture, a quote from the alma mater, or a generic yet pretentious greeting pointed at all of your friends from back home, “good morning from Hanover!” Thanks for putting the temperature filter in Celsisus, so it looks colder than it really is. Oh you, so quirky.

You’re doing the Lord’s work, and my day sure is better because of it. Looking forward to your pictures of the sunset tonight!
