Heartbreaking: Ethan’s Mom Won’t Hit his Juul

As part of our series about college students adapting to life at home, this week we interview Ethan, who has had to deal with the harsh reality that his mother won’t hit his Juul.

“Bro, it’s just not the same,” said Ethan. Self-isolating at home, Ethan has faced numerous challenges and adjustments similar to those that the rest of the country is also enduring. Specifically, Ethan emphasized that “he missed smoking with the boys.” He said about the situation, “When I was in the basement, I could pull out my Juul and girls would flock, looking for a hit. But at home, when I ask Mom if she wants a hit her face just goes blank like she’s gonna cry or some shit.”

“It’s so much worse than at school. If I mess up or make a brother mad, I just offer him my Juul and we’re all good. Last week I forgot to put the trash cans out and my mom got angry.  So I said, ‘Sorry bro, here you can have a hit,’ and she looked like I pissed in the batch.” Ethan then gestured towards his juul asking if the reporter wanted to “take a fat rip.”

Ethan summarily concluded the interview by offering to put our reporter in touch with his pod guy who still makes mango .
