The underlying premise of this survey is that the preposition—of, for, or through—matters in a consideration of image repair and broadcast news. Each shifts the focus of inquiry, and each reveals unique characteristics of image repair rhetoric. Whether in practice, the classroom, or scholarship, such considerations of image repair and news help to highlight unique challenges and opportunities during times of image attack and defense.
