A recent report by the Center for Disease Control using data from 2015-2016 shows that obesity rates in adults and children are at an all-time high. Adult obesity rates have increased from 37.7% to 40% and child rates from 17% to 19%. The highest obesity rates are among Hispanic and black women (51% and 55%, respectively). Researchers and primary care doctors are calling for better obesity management and nutrition services, especially for women, as obesity is associated with serious health risks.
