In January, McDonalds will reintroduce its famous “Dollar Menu”, but this time it will include meals for $1, $2, and $3. In 2012, McDonalds discontinued the Dollar Menu as franchisees complained of profit loss. However this change hurt sales, and now the discount menu is making a comeback. McDonald’s US president said, “We expect this to win back customers who’ve been disappointed. This is a competitive market.” The new $3 menu will include Happy Meals, making this the first time that they are included on a national discount menu.
