Seminar Description
An interactive panel seminar discussing tips and tools to overcome challenges faced by short-term research projects in a learning health system. In this session we introduce key project management concepts and discuss how they can be applied to E-STaR. After discussion about the challenges facing current projects, we will explore useful tips, best practices, tools, and templates to guide leaders and investigators in organizing and driving their work to successful project completion. This session focuses on basic project management practices for current E-STaR projects with Q&A as time allows.
Jason Contrady, MBA, NREMT, PMP, is an accomplished management professional with over a decade of experience leading diverse teams, implementing large-scale projects, and driving quality improvements across different industries. Currently a Senior Project Manager at Dartmouth Health, he guides system-wide strategic integration initiatives to improve quality, safety, and patient care. Much of Jason’s 15-year career was spent in supply chain planning and operations in wholesale distribution and retail while spearheading emergency response and federal grants as a public servant. An advocate for continuous learning and innovation, Jason is passionate about equipping others with practical tools to succeed. He thrives on exploring complex systems, distilling technical concepts, and transforming ideas into reality.
Tiffany Chandler, MSHSA, MPH, PMP, serves as a Senior Project Manager for the OpEx PMO and the Office of Research Operations. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Services Administration, and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Greenbelt in Lean Six Sigma. With over 10 years of experience in healthcare, Tiffany has led a variety of complex projects, including ERP integrations, infrastructure development, process improvements, and multi-project/multi-institution grant submissions. She joined Dartmouth Health in February 2022.
