President: Archita Harathi


Archita Harathi is a ’22 at Dartmouth, planning on studying Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science. Math has always been one of her favorite subjects, and she continues to search for new opportunities and experiences in math, whether through being a Byrne Scholar at Dartmouth or researching at the British Antarctic Survey. Besides being apart of DMS, Archita is also apart of the Dartmouth Sings, Dartmouth Mock Trial, Smart Women Securities, and the DALI Lab.

Treasurer: Clayton Bass

Clayton Bass is a ’22 from Harrison, NY who plans to major in Mathematical Data Science. On campus, he is involved in DMS, The Dartmouth’s product development staff, and The Aegis yearbook’s business strategy staff. He also enjoys playing squash, traveling, and golfing in his free time. He looks forward to a great term with DMS!

Web Management: Vivek Hazari

Vivek Hazari ’22  is from the Hudson Valley area of NY. He intends to major/minor in some combination of Computer Science, Math, and Philosophy (which entails frequent stops at “Does this even matter?” land). He is also involved with tech at The Dartmouth and the fencing team. (epee!)

Event Coordinator: Alex Bakos

Alex Bakos ’22 is from the upper west side of New York City. He is currently planning on majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Computer Science. Outside of DMS, Alex enjoys philosophy, physics, and playing soccer.

Event Outreach: Ugur Yavuz

Ugur Yavuz ’21 was born in Izmir, Turkey but raised in Istanbul. He is pursuing a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics, and his primary fields of interest are knowledge reasoning, computability and machine learning. He is also interested in Romance languages and linguistics, and enthusiastic about trivia and obscure subjects. In his spare time, Ugur likes to watch movies and plays, and contribute to Wikipedia.

Email Marketer: Jenique Richards

My name is Jenique Richards and I’m a sophomore (’22). I am a math major and have been in DMS since my first year. Outside of DMS, I am the Event Management Fellow at the HOP and sing in the Dartmouth College Gospel Choir. If I’m not at the HOP, you’ll likely find me at ROBO or the Ledyard Clubhouse as a member of Ledyard Canoe Club.

Victoria is a ’22 from Philadelphia majoring in economics. Outside of DMS she is also involved in SWS, WIB, and the archery team. Off campus she likes to volunteer at the Upper Valley Haven.

Hi, my name is Ivy. I’m a 22 originally from Shanghai, China. I plan to major in math and art history. When I’m not doing math, I love going to different museums and art shows!

Writer: Joe Gyorda

Joe Gyorda (’22) is from Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. At Dartmouth, he plans to pursue a major in mathematical data science or quantitative social science, and his other academic interests include computer science and education. Along with the Dartmouth Mathematical Society, Joe is is an active member of the Dartmouth Triathlon Team and Dartmouth Sports Analytics Club. His interests in math and statistics stemmed predominantly from his high school statistics class, where he first began to appreciate the significance of data and its use in the modern world.

Weekly Problem Writer: Aaron Lee

Aaron Lee ’22 hails from the Greater Philadelphia region in PA. He currently plans to complete an Economics and Mathematics double major, but also finds interest in Computer Science, History, and Philosophy. Though he is no longer heavily involved in math competitions as he was in high school, he maintains his love for tricky math problems and clever solutions. He also writes for The Dartmouth and practices the piano in his free time.

Weekly Problem Writer: Jack Zhang

My name is Jack Zhang ’20. I’m a math major and the Weekly Problem Writer for DMS. My research interest mainly lies in using applied math to solve real-world problems. Also, I’m the math resident expert for West House. When I’m not doing math in Kemeny, I enjoy swimming, playing pong, and hanging out with friends.
