Clara Batchelder is a ’19 from Red Lodge, MT studying psychology. She has participated in MAV since fall 2015. MAV leaders aspire to create and maintain an atmosphere of self-care and positive reinforcement. In line with that core principle, Clara celebrates her tenacity and idealism, and is not intimidated by daunting tasks. She feels inspired by the insight and compassion of both branches of MAV and the willingness of the Dartmouth community to earnestly engage with issues surrounding sexual assault and gender-based violence. Clara also believes that serving as a MAV executive entails serving the community by contributing to MAV’s mission. After leaving Dartmouth, she hopes to see MAV expand into more areas of campus and grow to reflect the broad range of identities implicated in these issues.
