If you are interested in the Dartmouth Medical Physics Education Program, you must apply to become a Dartmouth Engineering Sciences PhD student, using the standard Dartmouth application, linked here. On your application to the Engineering Sciences PhD, via the Thayer School of Engineering, indicate your interest in the Medical Physics Education Program. Applications are due on cycle January 1 each year, but off cycle admissions are possible for highly qualified candidates. Admission to this Medical Physics Education Program requires a substantial background in physics at the undergraduate level, of a Major or Minor in Physics (minimum of 4 courses beyond introductory college physics).
Dartmouth students currently enrolled in a PhD program in Engineering Sciences or any of the physical science PhD programs are invited to apply as an internal Dartmouth applicant. Interested students should contact one of the program directors:
- Brian W. Pogue, Engineering Sciences
- David J. Gladstone, Radiation Oncology
- John B. Weaver, Diagnostic Radiology
