Overview

This is a SLA (Stereolithography) printer. SLA falls into the category of vat photopolymerization which is a type of additive manufacturing technology. SLA 3D printers use light-reactive thermoset materials often called resins. This printer uses a light source to cure the resin layer by layer in order to produce a 3D object. In order to print it also needs the 3D object in a .stl file format.

Strengths: small features, smooth surface finishes, specialized materials

Weaknesses: longer print times, requires multi-step post processing
