Principal Investigator (PI)
PI Daniel G. Olson is working to engineer organisms that naturally break down lignocellulose into efficient biocatalysts that can withstand the rigors of industrial-scale fermentation. This work uses techniques from the fields of metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, quantitative physiology, and biochemistry. He leads a research group comprised of researchers at both Dartmouth and the University of Campinas.
