A box that can create a tornado using fog from dry ice.
Setup: Turn on the light at the inside top of the box. (This LED light uses AA batteries, is attached to the top magnetically, so it can be removed, and turns on/off by pressing on it.) The fan needs to be connected to a variac. Fill a plastic sandwich tub about 1/3 to 1/2 full of dry ice. Set inside the box. Pour a small amount of hot water into the tub, and then close the hatch. Turn on the fan with the variac set for about 90 volts. The vortex should form almost immediately. You can adjust the speed of the fan as desired. It will be necessary to periodically add more hot water to the dry ice.
