A mass on a spring oscillates exactly in sync with a point on a rotating disc.
Setup: Adjust so the weight can be held against the ring stand and released when the marker on the wheel reaches the bottom. It takes a little time to adjust both the wheel's rotation rate and the exact point at which to set the ring stand.
The motor, controller, spring, and ring stand assembly are all stored connected together.
