Display the generated voltage from a magnetic tape moving over a tape head on an oscilloscope.
Setup: This is not an easy demo. Tape that contains data that no one cares to save is becoming more difficult to come by! It's also necessary to arrange the wood and washer guides so that the tape will remain over the read head while being moved back and forth. There must be a more reliable way to do this -- Laurie Anderson used to use a violin bow with magnetic tape on it, and a read head on the violin, instead of strings, and it worked well and reliably. Perhaps we need to send the signal through an appropriate amplifier.
